The Cycling Podcast 2023

In July 2023 I joined up with Lionel Birnie and Lizzy Banks in France to report from the final week of the Tour de France, where Jonas Vingegaard definitively secured the yellow jersey of race leader and carried it all the way to Paris.

Beyond the race we explored the Alps, the Vosges, and the lost world of la France Profonde that lies between them. We dined on the world famous poulet de bresse, a surprising amount of decent sushi, and found time to visit the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris where we paid tribute to Laurent Fignon, Antoine Blondin, and a few of its other more famous residents.
